Using windows Xp, in any window & selecting "Tools" then Folder options, you are given 2 choices. When selecting a folder you can either have the window open in the same window or you can have each window open in its own window. The default is to open in the same window.

If in default mode and when selecting a folder, is there a way to perhaps, hold down a key like Cntrl or something when selecting, to have the folder open in its own window?
Sometimes i need to do one or the other.

Theres also not an option for this when right clicking the folder. Im guessing Vista has more options. Is this poss? or is there a software that allows for this?

apparently OD+ is backed up hopefully i can get some resolve on this.

I forgot to include the tiles in this resent post that just posted today - "GL-Series 2007 for Object Dock", Dugh! Last time i forgot something and pulled my work, it took like a week before it got reposted, by then it was lick 6 pages back and nobody saw it. Is it possible to get it approved right away? OR can i select that option that says major update so it goes back to the front??

Thought id post this for general discussion. Are there no cool picture / photo views around?

There are unlimited amount of photo editors, and some very awesome ones. But I've never seem to come across a really cool "VIEWER".

You can goto channel9.msdn.com and see a clip showing some super cool photo viewing tools. You go to the Mac OS X page and select "Core Animation" and see a clip of some sweet photo animation action. But what are we left with? Just a bunch of weak "Viewing" tools.

I think now adobe has come out with Lightroom.

How cool is Windows Picture and Fax Viewer? Its almost tying for 1st place.

None of these that Im aware of have any awesome effects, Just your run of the mill no frills slide show grade shool animation picture viewers.

Someone tell me im missing something?

Anyways i was hoping for a little more insight.

Just learned of Expose for the mac today, so im a lil behind. I was searching through the posts in the forums and kept coming to dead ends as to what people are using.

I was hoping people familiar with these softwares could drop a quick line as to what they are using, how long you've used it, when it was created, the history behind it, who the creator, OK just kidding, but apart from the desire to choke-out the computer anyone using any of these softwares? Any recommendations?

I've used WindowFX before, and its a great app. For a more Expose-like experience, I'd suggest TopDesk. I've reviewed that program in the past, and its definitely a well-designed app.

I had installed vairous of those programs and I usually tweak around with them and look in awe at them for about an hour.........until my curiosity is satisfied and I forget at them.

A couple of months later I do my usual "throw out the programs I don't need anyway"-sweep and they dissappear from my HD.

I guess it depends what you are used to and how important little flashy tweaks are for you. I usually just get annoyed by them, very fast. Furthermore, I am soooo used to use my taskbar or ALT-TAB to switch between thewindows, that I simply forget that there would be a flashier way to do it.

.....aahh, and Winplosion gave me a false-positive from Kasperksy (that was a while ago though, and I don't know wether Kaspersky fixed that).

Another vote for TopDesk. It does make working between lots of open windows easier. However, you could also try QTTabBar, which makes Windows Explorer behave like a tabbed browser.

I'm a longtime Avant user & like it's style of tab implementation & mouse gestures (much better than any firefox configuration I've tried) so I'm used to not using keyboard shortcuts very much.

I think I found a Expose type of program for Vista when it was in Beta. I'll try to find the link.

I'm near done designing some tabbed docks, i notice that when i move any tabbed dock to the edge of the screen they want to automatically dock as a drawer, is this normal? Ok then i select reserve edge of screen, and they unhide.

(now i notice this on all tabbed docks)
OD+ is reserving the edge of the screen from where tabs end. When i want it to reserve from just the dock itself, not including the tabs. That way i wont have all that waisted area of the screen just for tabs.

am i missing something?

searched the forums but gave up. Is there a simple way so increase the font size on the tabof a tabbed dock, or is does it only ajust to the tab zoomer. The font tabs seem much smaller thn the tabs, i prefer not to have a huge tab.

I guess if there is no option i could shrink the tab on the canvas, and OD+ would think its bigger than it is?
